Children are among the most vulnerable during emergencies. Floods, fires, disease outbreaks, and conflicts disrupt healthcare, nutrition, water, and safety — all things children depend on to survive and thrive. In these moments, pediatricians and health teams play a critical role not just in treating illness, but in preparing communities and protecting young lives.
_Paediatrics in Disaster_ is about building that readiness. It means having plans in place before an emergency, responding quickly and safely during a crisis, and ensuring continuity of care, psychosocial support, and child protection after.
To address this urgent need, the *Paediatric Society of Ghana, PSG* is hosting an educational session to equip health professionals with practical strategies for disaster preparedness and response focused on children.
